Stāsts
Ekspedīcija atrod lielu dinozaura olu, no kuras vēlāk izšķiļas ķengura izmēra Godzillazaurs – Godzillas dzimts radinieks – dinozaurs veģetārietis.

Pirms olas nogādāšanas uz laboratoriju, ekspedīcija redz, ka netālu no olas atrodas senatnīgie monstri Godzilla un Rodans.

Protams, ka Godzilla vēlas atgūt šo mazuli, tāpat kā Rodans. Japānai ir jādomā aizsardzības plāns.

Valdība nolemj cīņā sūtīt Megagodzillu – milzīgu Godzillas formas robotu, kas pēc kadeta Kazumas (Masahiro Takašima) ieteikuma tiek papildināts ar papildus ieroci, kuru iespējams uzmontēt uz Megagodzillas muguras.

Tāpat zinātnieki atklāj, ka Godzillai ir vājais punkts – otras smadzenes astes rajonā, kuru bojājuma gadījumā tiktu paralizēta monstra nervu sistēma.
