926. gadā Balhae valsts galvaspilsēta, pēc Georan uzbrukuma un prinča Suhyeon nogalināšanas, krīt gūstā… Tās vietā Georan nodibināja jaunu valsti, kuru nosauca par Dongranguk.

Tomēr izdzīvojušie Balhae iedzīvotāji saglabāja cerības atjaunot valsti...

Darbība risinās mūsu ēras 927. gadā. Vienai no spēcīgākajām karotājām - Yeon So-ha (So-yi Yoon) tiek dots uzdevums atrast un nogādāt atpakaļ, trimdā atrodošos, pēdējo Balhae princi Jeong-hyun (Seo-jin Lee).

Princim ir jāatgriežas un jākļūst par Balhae karali un vadoni cīņā pret ļaunajiem iebrucējiem.

So-ha uzdevums nemaz nav tik vienkāršs, jo prinča meklējumus ir uzsākuši arī pretinieka spēki ar ļauno Hyun-joon (Hyeon-jun Shin) priekšgalā, un, pie tam, pats princis nevēlas atgriezties un kļūt par karali...

Režisoram KIM Young-jun (starp citu, KIMs ir austrumu cīnu eksperts Taekwondo un Hapkido) 2000 gadā izdevās pārsteigt korejiešu kino ar savu debijas filmu Bichunmoo. Pēc Bichunmoo režisors nākamos piecus gadus ir veltījis Shadowless Sword filmas tapšanai, lai 2006 gadā skatītājiem sniegtu aizraujošu episku stāstu.

Filma ir tik tiešām izdevusies un ir daudz labāka par Bichunmoo. Tomēr noskatoties filmu, atmiņā nenovēršami ieskrien jau iepriekš redzētās wuxia tipa filmas, it sevišķi Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon un Tsui Hark režisētā Seven Swords. Cīņu ainu horeogrāfija ir augstā līmeni, Yun So-yi kautiņi izskatās burvīgi. Muzikālais pavadījums kautiņu laikā nu tik tiešām bija nošpikots no CTHD.

Esmu pārliecināts, ka nākamai KIMa filmai jākļūst par kases grāvēju. Nu ko gaidām vēl 5 gadus?

mmmmm.... skatoties šos cīņas skatus bija pilnīgs WOW! Tik kvalitatīvi uztaisītas cīņas neesmu redzējis. Bauda skatities.
Par pašu sižetu gan tā negribētos teikt. Bet nu filma patiešām ir ok.
