Anotācija: Written and directed by Gu Seong Ju, Long and Winding Road tells the charming story of a strong-willed elderly woman (Ko Du Sim, from My Mother The Mermaid), who suffers from chronic dizziness. This unfortunate medical condition prevents her from riding in a car or even taking public transportation, a simple fact which causes great difficulty for her when she learns that her daughter is going to get married in Mokpo. Eager to attend the wedding, the woman decides that there's only one solution to her problem: walk. With the help of her other grown children, she ventures out on her long journey to celebrate her daughter's impending matrimony. Son Byeong Ho (The President's Barber) and Kim Yoo Seok (Possible Changes) portray the woman's first and second sons, and their sibling rivalry often gets the best of them during the long trek through the mountains, amounting to several hilarious scenes of family bickering.

As the narrative progresses, all the characters who set out on the fateful trip with the film's plucky, determined matriarch end up rediscovering the importance of the family and the strong bonds that they share with one another. And as they press onward to reach their destination, many moments of human drama emerge in which the tone turns wistful and sentimental. Based on a true story, the film brings into focus the time-honored tradition of motherhood and the responsibilities and sacrifice that go along with that familial role. The beautiful location footage shot in the South Cholla Province perfectly complements the film's overall premise, a tale that celebrates the importance of family ties, the strength of the human spirit, and the power of one mother's love.
