Liu Džian (Jet Li) ir Ķīnas specaģents, kuru norīko darbam Parīzē. Liu ir jāpalīdz aizturēt kādu Ķīnas izcelsmes biznesmeni, kas iesaistīts heroīna kontrabandā.

Tomēr kā izrādās Liu ir izvēlēts par grēkāzi Žanam Pjēram Ričardam (Tcheky Karyo) – vardarbīgam un uzpirktam franču policijas inspektoram, kurš brutāli nogalina biznesmeni, noveļot visu vainu uz Liu.

Liu bēg viens pats lielā Eiropas pilsētā, kurā viņu vajā gan policija, gan arī noziedzīgā pasaule... Viņam jāspēj pierādīt sava nevainība un jāsoda vainīgie...
