Stāsts
Trīsdaļīga dokumentālā filma par nozīmīgu Japānas vēstures posmu. Posmu, kurā valdīja Tokugavas klans – vēsturē pazīstams arī kā laiks, kad Japāna slēdza savas robežas citām valstīm, nepieļaujot plašu tirgošanos un svešzemju kultūras ienākšanu Japānas tradīcijās un ikdienā.

Filma sadalīta hronoloģiskās daļās, kur pirmā, ar nosaukumu „Samuraja Ceļš”, stāsta par Momojamas periodu un Tokugavu Iejasu, kurš apvieno Japānu un nodibina dinastiju, kas valdīs turpmākos vairāk nekā 250 gadus.

Otrā daļa, ar nosaukumu „Šoguna Griba”, stāsta par Iejasu mazdēlu, Tokugavu Iemitsu, kurš vēl vairāk nostiprina valsts robežas, pakļaujot vietējos vadoņus un izdzenot svešzemniekus...
