Stāsts
Judži Šinoda (Yuji Shinoda) ir galvenais „Godzillas Paredzēšanas Tīkla” darbinieks. Viņš ar savu desmitgadīgo meitu Ijo (Iyo) un žurnālisti Juki Ičinose, (Yuki Ichinose) zinātnes vārdā, dzenas pa pēdām nevienam citam, kā Godzillai.

Tajā pat laikā, okeānā pie Japānas robežām tiek atrasts milzīgs un noslēpumains akmens. Pamanījuši akmens dīvaino struktūru, zinātnieki nolemj to izcelt sauszemē.

Akmens sakustās, un ir acīmredzami, ka tas ir dzīvs radījums. Kā noskaidrojas, tad pastāv iespēja, ka šis atradums okeānā nogulējis vairāk nekā 60 000 gadu.

Pēc neilga laika kļūst skaidrs, ka akmens ir no citas planētas. Tas sāk uzbrukumus Japānai, pakāpeniski piekļūstot un dzēšot valstij nozīmīgos elektroniskos datu arhīvus.

Bet akmens paveic ne tikai to... Tas transformējas par milzīgu monstru, kurš jau pēc neilga laika Tokijā saskrienas ar Godzillu...

Tikmēr Katagiri (Hiroši Abe) no Krīzes Kontroles Institūta pieliek visus spēkus un resursus, lai nogalinātu Godzillu.
