Notikumi risinās alternatīvajā Japānā, Tokijas ielās, kuras pieblīvētas ar bagātību meklējošiem imigrantiem no visas Pasaules.

Sešpadsmitgadīgā Ageha (Ayumi Ito) ir meitene, kura nesen zaudējusi savu māti. Viņa tiek nodota no vienas personas citai, kamēr nonāk pie prostitūtas Gliko (Glico – Chara). Gliko apžēlojas par meiteni, un ņem viņu savā uzraudzībā.

Kopā ar Gliko, Ageha iepazīstas ar vairākiem jauniem cilvēkiem, kuri mīt Tokijas pamestajos kvartālos, jeb Jēnu pilsētā. "Jēnu pilsētnieki" dzīvo savu dzīvi, sapņodami par to kopējo mērķi – bagātību – jēnām...

Kādas nejaušas sakritības dēļ, šiem cilvēkiem tiek dota iespēja realizēt savu sapni, tomēr, tas saistās arī ar pamatīgu daudzumu jaunu nepatikšanu, kurās tiek ierautas arī Gliko un Ageha.
